1. 01

   Wake

   1 s press / 1 min

   Single push-button press of one second wakes the badge. It advertises BLE and opens USB for one minute, then returns to muted if unused.

2. 02

   Reset

   6 s hold / split second

   Hold the button for six seconds. Success is a double purple flash. Failure is total darkness — no LED at all.

3. 03

   Authenticated

   Green light / 3 min

   Enrolled fingerprint accepted. USB and NFC stay on for three minutes, then the badge falls back to muted default.

4. 04

   DFU wait

   Faded green / until load

   Badge is in device-firmware-update mode, waiting for a firmware image. The faded green hold is indefinite until firmware is loaded.

   Rejected / empty

   Red light / then muted

   Fingerprint not authenticated, or the battery is critically low. After the red indication the badge returns to the muted default state.

6. 06

   Muted

   Default / until wake

   Sleep. LED dark. USB closed, NFC off, BLE silent. A one-second press is the only way out.

Gestures

Wake has no LED. Reset success is the only purple: two flashes, split second. Reset failure is indistinguishable from sleep. Red is never a dwell state — it always returns to muted default.
